The following tips on glass care come from Zalto, and should help you to enjoy your glasses for a long time. Basically, both machine cleaning and gentle hand washing are suitable, but the advantage of the dishwasher is that manual polishing, the most frequent cause of glass breakage, is not necessary. If possible, the exclusive use of a glass washing program and an optimal setting of temperature and water hardness should be ensured in order to avoid glass corrosion.
Important Safety Disclaimer:
Zalto glassware is exceptionally lightweight and refined—and also inherently fragile. Breakage can cause sharp edges that may result in injury. Winemonger is not the manufacturer of Zalto glassware and disclaims any liability for injuries or damages resulting from breakage, misuse, or improper handling.
We recommend using a dishwasher for cleaning Zalto glassware. Manual hand-polishing, especially when untrained, is the most common cause of breakage and personal injury. Please do not attempt to polish the glass by hand unless you are confident and experienced in handling fine stemware.
Always avoid leaving glassware in places where it may be stepped on or fallen onto. Do not use any glass that is chipped or cracked. By using this product, you assume full responsibility for its safe handling and use.
